Designed for endowments, foundations, pensions, family offices, funds of funds and other institutions who want to invest in hedge funds, our Hedge Fund Allocator accounts allows access to the Hedge Fund Marketplace, our online version of a traditional Capital Introduction Program.
The Hedge Fund Marketplace lets participating hedge funds market their funds to hedge fund allocators and eligible IB clients who have been qualified as Accredited Investors and Qualified Purchasers.
Account Benefits
- Sign-up is quick and easy and does not require a funded account. Simply fill out a questionnaire to be approved.
- Once approved, you can access the Hedge Fund Marketplace to view information and documents about participating hedge funds, including private placement memoranda, subscription information and performance summaries.
- Contact the fund's management company directly or request that the fund contact you.

The Investors' Marketplace lets individual traders and investors, institutions and third-party service providers meet and do business together.
Search for and do business with multiple advisors, brokers, and wealth managers. Access dozens of advisor portfolios, including Smart Beta portfolios, offered by Interactive Advisors. Accredited investors and qualified purchasers can search for, research and invest with hedge funds.
- Advertise your services at no cost and reach individual and institutional users worldwide.
- Locate third-party vendors offering API and FIX CTCI solutions.
- Find third-party, institutional-caliber research providers and access research directly through Trader Workstation (TWS).

Account Information
Hedge fund allocator accounts grant access to the Hedge Fund Marketplace through Account Management.
You must be an Accredited Investor or Qualified Purchaser to be eligible for this account.
You are not required to fund the account.
Upon approval of your application, you will be able to log into Account Management to view Hedge Funds at the Hedge Fund Marketplace.
IB's Hedge Fund Marketplace includes performance information on participating hedge funds as well as disclosures concerning the risks of investing in hedge funds. Among other things, hedge funds may engage in speculative and/or leveraged investments, which may increase the risk of investment loss. Entities in the United Kingdom are not eligible for Hedge Fund Allocator accounts at this time.
